The Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping
Michael Solterbeck will tell this tragic kidnapping saga that H.L. Mencken called “the biggest story since the Resurrection.” On March 1, 1932, 20 month old Charles A Lindbergh Jr., son of the famous aviator, Charles Lindbergh Sr., was abducted from his home in East Amwell New Jersey. Two years later, Bruno Richard Hauptmann was arrested for the baby’s kidnapping and murder.

Spitting: The Story of Spittoons and Cuspidors
Museum of Ceramics Director Susan Weaver will talk about the rise and fall of the spittoon. The production of these bowl shaped vessels into which tobacco chewers spit, was big business for East Liverpool Potteries. Learn how laws, social customs, and the fear of tuberculosis brought about their demise. A display of spittoons will accompany the talk

Rock Springs Park
This presentation will coincide with a Rock Springs Park exhibit opening. Susan Weaver will present a history of the Park and show photographs and postcards of the rides and park.
