Timothy Brookes is a retired attorney in East Liverpool, Ohio, having been admitted to the bar in 1979. An East Liverpool native, Brookes has had a life-long (at least since age 5) interest in the Civil War. He graduated from Kent State University and the Ohio State University College of Law. He has served as President of the East Liverpool Historical Society from 1987 until 2024 and has written numerous historical articles/ A regular speaker on historical topics, Brookes is primarily interested in the photographs and stories of common soldiers - especially those hailing from Columbiana County. He lives in East Liverpool with his wife, Linda. They have one daughter, Allison.
